Online Dating Tips Profile
Its important to to know some online dating tips to actually succeed in the virtual dating environment whether you are single or not. Take this – not all profiles are real (some are fake), and not all profiles are made for you. You need to choose what your needs are in life and you should make a profile that attracts the right people.
The most important online dating tip – we have said this in many of our articles and we say this again - be honest!!!
Here goes some really important online dating tips for your profile:
Ask yourself this important question - what you want in your partner? And for God’s sake be realistic. If you never went to university there is very little chance that someone with a post-graduate degree or a PhD would marry you or form a relationship with you. Its not that its impossible, but less likely. We live in a real world, and the reality is that people form relationship with people with the same class and intellect. Now that may not be fair, but its true.
In a piece of paper/notepad write down what you want in your partner and keep on your desk/desktop. This will help you to choose the right partner and save you a hell lot of time and frustration.
Hint: If you are looking for casual relationship – mention this in your profile and pick profiles looking for casual relations. Else you may waste your time. Write this in your profile too.
Do some research before joining a dating site. If there are enough profiles that match your requirements – you must join.
Hint – many sites are free to join. It does take some time, but helps you to choose. Register in as many as you can and then become a paid member for the top 3-4 of your choice.
When you are chatting online be cautious and be honest. First you don't know that person, second he/she may not be the person of the same profile. His/her friend may be chatting with you. Being cautious here is better than reveal all and getting screwed later.
Also – never ever reveal your personal finance information. You may be talking to a thug/online hacker. You could end up in financial losses. Be honest about yourself – your nature, education, your choices, likes, dislikes, etc but don't say anything else even if the person who is chatting with you asks. If this is first time, done even reveal your home or office address.
Look smart in your profile photo but do not use a fake photo even if you are not that handsome / beautiful. Upload a recent photo of yours.
If possible record your chat. This will help you in case you decide to meet them in person. Reading the chat once before meeting will help you remember their likes dislikes etc and you will have enough things to talk about when you meet them. This is helpful if you are chatting with multiple people – once you are out of the chatting room – you will forget what you chatted and with whom.
Keep twisting the profile as and when time passes by. For example if you created your profile when you were in college you should update it when you are out of college and have got a job. If you are now a MBA - write that in your profile.
Keep visiting your dating site on a regular interval. That way you will know if someone contacted your profile.
